Gus Bator

Gus studied at the University of Western Ontario, graduating with an Honors Bachelor of Arts Degree with courses in sociology and social psychology. Furthering his education at Brock University, he attained his certificate in Neurorehabilitation: Assisting Recovery and Function in Everyday Life Following Brain Injury. Gus has also received, Advanced Behavioural Training from Regional Support Associates.

Gus has been employed as a Development Support Worker at Participation House and Community Living London since 2009. During this time he has worked within a multi-disciplinary team, with a variety of individuals requiring varying degrees of assistance.

Gus has experience in life skills training, medication administration, and implementing both physical and cognitive programs in residential and community settings. As part of his employment Gus has gained a great deal of experience in dealing with individuals who have developmental disabilities, anxiety disorders and mental health issues.

As a Rehabilitation Therapist working for Next Step Rehab Therapy, Gus has worked with clients following MVA’s who have suffered significant orthopedic injuries, brain injuries and amputations.

He assists these clients with learning strategies to deal with behavioral, emotional and physical deficits. Many of his clients also suffer from chronic pain. Gus is well skilled in accessing community resources and activities for use in the rehabilitation process no matter the needs or location of the client.

Gus takes pride in his culinary skills and is fluent in Polish.
