Sabrina Dyk

Sabrina studied at the University of Western Ontario, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, with a Major in Kinesiology and a minor in psychology. In addition, Sabrina has obtained her certificate in Crisis Prevention Intervention allowing her to de-escalate high pressure situations with a high degree of reliability. Sabrina’s passion for rehabilitation services is a result of personal experience and a fascination with brain function.

Sabrina has been employed as a rehabilitation therapist since 2013, with experience in both, assisted living and day programs, as well as one-on-one support in the community and in client’s homes. Regular interaction with a variety of professionals has helped Sabrina develop strong communication and problem-solving skills between clients and other team members.

Through her work with several rehabilitation agencies, Sabrina has extensive experience working with individuals with acquired brain injuries. Sabrina has worked with clients who have suffered spinal cord injuries as well as sensory deficits. Sabrina takes a highly individualized approach to patient care and has gained the ability to implement strategies to best assist with a client’s specific difficulties.

Sabrina finds herself running and hiking with her dog in her spare time. She also enjoys music, trying new foods and exploring new places.
